There’s some things I really want to try out in 2021 because never before has a year felt so stagnant in my life (yes, that’s a compliment, 2020).
1. A different photography style
More specifically, I want to learn and try some urban or abstract photography. Normally, I do birds and animals (wildlife), some landscapes and at times architectural photography (I’m a learner, not a professional) but I also wish to learn urban or maybe abstract photography.
2. Bullet journaling
Well, I have tried it before but I only approached the system because of all the pretty setups and spreads that I saw on the internet, but eventually, it became too overwhelming for me— creating the those fancy and elaborate spreads and planning literally took a lot more time than getting the tasks at hand done— so I stopped.
A lot later (last month) I discovered what bullet journaling actually meant. I realised that I didn’t have to decorate and make it fancy; I only had to write down my to-do list and track my progress, and I think that system will really work for me so I’m thinking of getting back to bullet journaling but my way— the simpler one.
3. Qigong (pronunciation: chi-gong)
Qigong is an Asian form of yoga/ meditation being practiced for thousands of year. It is practiced for meditation, exercise, self-cultivation, self-healing, training for martial arts and looking inwards, also spirituality. Qigong is believed to cultivate and balance the Qi. The exercise involves a series of coordinated body-postures, movements and breathing.
It has said to bring forth focus and mindfulness, which is mainly why I want to try Qigong.
4. Growing and propagating succulents and more indoor plants
I’m especially fond of succulents because they’re not very demanding for sunlight (most) and propagating them is easy (or so I heard), also they look very pretty, so I’d like to grow some succulents by myself. Along with succulents, I’m also thinking of trying to grow other indoor plants and take their responsibility.
5. Some easy recipes
First of all, I want to confess to you about how much of an amateur I am in the kitchen. I tried a few dishes during the lockdown— my pancakes and soufflé omelette aren’t so bad but, trust me, you wouldn’t want to have the cold coffee I make. What could possibly go wrong with a cold coffee, you ask? I don’t know it myself!
Despite my lack of culinary knowledge, I wish to learn small, not very time-consuming dishes.
Those all the things I want to try or learn in 2021. What about you? What do you plan on trying out in the coming year? And if you’ve tried any of the above, let me know about your experience.
